Founder’s, Alumni and Institute Day – 2013

Mitaa celebrated the Founder’s, Alumni and Institute day ON 5^th April 2013.

Mr. K. Thiagarajan of 23^rd batch, GASCO Abu Dhabi was honoured as the Outstanding Alumnus. He gave a very passionate talk about the Institute and the relations he continue to have with all the alumni.
Dr. K. Sivam of 29^th batch Project Director PSLV was honoured as the distinguished Alumnus. He gave an update on the space activities of ISRO.
Mr. N. Lakshmi Narayanan Vice Chairman CTS delivered the keynote address. CTS has a special relation with MIT and they continue to sponsor scholarships.
Dr. P. Kaliraj, VC Anna University presided over the function.
Dr. S. Thamarai Selvi Dean briefed on the MIT annual activity..
Mr. V. Balasubramanian of Founder family spoke on the need for the skills development.
From the Mitaa team – President Mr. Balaji, Past President Mr. N. Ramachandran, Patron Mr. T.M. Jawaharlal, Vice President Mr. R. Madhavan and Secretary Mr. V. Mathiyazhagan spoke.
All the retiring staff of the institute and the top ranking students from all departments were honoured.

Founder’s, Alumni and Institute Day – 2012

MItaa celebrated the triple function of Founder, Institute and Alumni day festive on 9^th March 2012.

Mr. Mohan Subramaniam, of 28th batch batch , CEO Total Plant Management Group, Texas was honoured as the Outstanding Alumnus.
Keynote address was delivered by Mr. L. Lakshman Executive Chairman, Rane Holdings Ltd.
Dr. P. Mannar Jawahar VC Anna University gave the Presidential address.
Dr. S. Thamarai Selvi, Dean presented the MIT Annual Report.
Mr. V. Balasubramanian of founder’s family addressed the gathering.
Dr. Prema Srinivasan of the Founder’s family was honoured by AWIC for her contribution to Children’s Literature.
Mr. V. Sridhar Technical Consultant addressed the gathering.

MITAA celebrated the founder’s day along with Institute day and Alumni day on 18^th March 2011.

Presidential address was given by Dr. P. Mannar jawahar – VC Anna University in his usual soul capturing way.
Mr. L. Shankar, MD Technip India gave the keynote address.
Dr. Shanmugavel, Registrar Anna university , who was honoured as the Outstanding alumnus of 27^th batch gave the Rajam memorial lecture.
Dean Mr. Joseph Stanley , Mr. V. Balasubramanian Founder’s family gave the felicitation address.
From the Mitaa team Mr. R. Balaji, Mr. T.M. Jawaharlala, Mr. S. Rajagopalan, Mr. Ramachandram, Mr. V. Mathiyazhagan spoke.
All Past Directors and Past Deans of MIT were honoured.
Prize distribution to top ranking students was done.
Retiring staff were honored.
Another highlight of the evening was the inauguration of the Museum and photo gallery in the campus by VC.

The tri-function Founder, Institute and Alumni day was celebrated on 7^th April 2010.

Shri Rajam Memorial Lecture was given by Mr. V. Ramakumar, of 26^th Batch , who was honoured as the Outstanding Alumnus.
Mr. L. Ramkumar MD Tube Investments of India gave the keynote address.
Dr. P. Mannar Jawahar – VC gave the Presidential address.
Mr. D. Varadarajan CGM, BSNL gave a good speech.
Dean Mr. Joseph Stanley, Mr. V. Balasubramanian Founder’s family and Dr. S. Shanmugavel Registrar addressed the gathering.
