MITAA celebrated the founder’s day along with Institute day and Alumni day on 18th March 2011.
Highlights of the events are:
- Presidential address was given by Dr. P. Mannar jawahar – VC Anna University in his usual soul capturing way.
- Mr. L. Shankar, MD Technip India gave the keynote address.
- Dr. Shanmugavel, Registrar Anna university , who was honoured as the Outstanding alumnus of 27th batch gave the Rajam memorial lecture.
- Dean Mr. Joseph Stanley , Mr. V. Balasubramanian Founder’s family gave the felicitation address.
- From the Mitaa team Mr. R. Balaji, Mr. T.M. Jawaharlala, Mr. S. Rajagopalan, Mr. Ramachandram, Mr. V. Mathiyazhagan spoke.
- All Past Directors and Past Deans of MIT were honoured.
- Prize distribution to top ranking students was done.
- Retiring staff were honored.
- Another highlight of the evening was the inauguration of the Museum and photo gallery in the campus by VC.
