Mr. S. Madhavan
The MIT Chromepet campus of Anna University, founded in 1949 by Sri C Rajam, is a unique Institution and carved a niche for itself in unconventional engineering courses like Aeronautical, Automobile, Electronics, Instrumentation, Production Tech, Rubber and Plastic Tech, Information Tech and Computer Science and Engineering.
During the centenary birth year of Sri C. Rajam in 1982, MITAA instituted the scheme of presenting annual endowment lecture and an award for the Outstanding Alumnus in his memory. MITAA has the pleasure of honouring Mr. S. Madhavan of Electronics Faculty of the 30th Batch, as the Outstanding Alumnus for the year 2017.
After his Bachelor’s degree in 1978, Mr. Madhavan joined MIT for B.Tech course in Electronics and graduated in 1981. Later he completed his Master in Management Systems from BITS, Pilani, Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing & Finance and Management Accounting qualification from CIMA, UK.
Mr. Madhavan had a professional career of 14 years with DCMDP, TVS Electronics, DEIL and Digital India. With an urge to venture on his own and the support from his wife he embarked on his journey as a entrepreneur in 1995. His entrepreneurial trajectory has many success stories. Starting with Net Labs, later he co-founded Servion Global Solutions Ltd. Now, he is the Founder and Director-Green Quotient System (P) Ltd, a Chennai based company since 2012.
His Passion is to catalyze, co-create and nurture on eco-system of start-ups with business and technical mentoring, through entrepreneurial pursuits. He is spiritually inclined and thanks God for having blessed him with a lovely family, proper grooming and circle of friends.
Mr. Madhavan lives in Chennai. His wife Mrs. Latha, an E & I engineer, is the pillar of strength for his success. His son is pursuing B.Tech at NIT Trichy. He is an avid reader and active sportsman. He pens his thought in the from of Tamil poems.
MITAA takes great pleasure in awarding Mr. S. Madhavan, the Outstanding Alumnus for the year 2017 and wish him good health and great success in all his future endeavors.
